When William C. Cortright was born in June 1845 in Tioga County, New York, his father, Levi Cortright, was 41 and his mother, Harriet Mead Cortright, was 37. He married Anna M. in 1865. They had one child, Clyde M. Cortright during their marriage. He had five brothers and four sisters.

A beautiful piece of a Cortright family Civil War veteran, this could easily be their wedding photo, married at the end of the Civil War.
