This CDV scene card is usually known as an "album filler". (See our ancestorville article on CDV photographs here) The beautiful CDV depicts a painting of a young Victorian girl reading to a young child. This would have been placed in the album where there was no picture, and where highly collected much like baseball cards are today!

Found in NYS near Chenango, in Madison County NY. Alternative spellings of Welthy are Weltha and Welthea. A beautiful old piece, clearly signed as her own personal 19th century possession and one of a kind.

Size: 2.5 x 4 inches
