1860-1880's Towne & Roberts Blacksmith Farrier Advertising Trade Card
#266:
Original Antique American Advertising Trade card for Blacksmith Shop, circa 1860's to 1880's. Printed on card: "Towne & Roberts, Horse Shoeing and General Jobbing. 46 Oxford St. Opp, Bickford & Bryant's Stable. Interfering and Over-Reaching a Specialty." There is a beautiful red lithograph of a Victorian era horse in center.
This graphically beautiful trade card was found in New England in Greenfield, Franklin County, Massachusetts. It has a center crease and some staining on back, otherwise clean and beautiful. It was once glued in a scrapbook, which was all the Victorian rage.
A wonderful blacksmith vintage business card or trade card. We have been unable to locate either the Towne & Roberts blacksmith nor the Bickford & Bryant Stables businesses in old city directories, and any help is greatly appreciated, email Debra here.
Size: 3 x 5 inches Note: The original is sold, but you may still purchase large, detailed and intimate 300 dpi high resolution scans of front and back, sent immediately via email.
