We could not find his parents in the Abram Covert Farm Cemetery, Ovid, Seneca County, NY although believe many there are related to Stewart. It appears he was raised by Patience & Stewart Covert, who are buried in the McNeal Cemetery in Ovid, Seneca County, New York.

A beautiful 1860's Civil War era CDV Photo of a Hector, New York couple. A clearly signed portrait, possibly their wedding photo. They would have traveled to the "big city" of Ithaca to have this photo taken. Found in Murphy, Josephine County, Oregon.
