On reverse: "Sam Westcott's Mother was a Budlong" is boldly handwritten in pencil script. Photo type: Victorian CDV or Carte de Visite Photograph. Date: 1860s Civil War era. Photographer: Westminster Fine Art Gallery, No. 94 Westminster Street, Providence, RI, Providence County, J.B. Thurston, proprietor. (known to be John B. Thurston) Found in Greenwich, Connecticut, CT in Fairfield County.

This Civil War era CDV has a beautiful anchor patriotic advertising backmark with the word "Hope" printed in it. It is a stunning portrait of a handsome Civil War era gentleman in a white summer suit, close up, and with great detail.
