Rosalie Erdman Carr was born about 1875, and had a brother William Erdman. Her father was F.W. Erdman and her mother Ludenka Erdman were German, both born in Germany. She married George W. Carr in 1897, and he died young. She later was a widow living with her Erdman family in Buffalo, Erie County, New York in census records.
