This family photo is slightly trimmed on edges, usually to fit into tight paper photo albums, as most were. Does not affect his image in any way.
A beautiful old 1860's CDV vignette image of young Roger Butterfield, who appears about 20 years old, during Civil War times. He would have been born about 1845. A wonderful, historical Butterfield Reverend, Pastor, Deacon, Parson, Priest or Minister, with Davenport Iowa history.
