Sardelli Genealogy: 1860's Richard Sardelli ID'd CDV Photo, Paris France
On reverse: "Harry and this man, Richard Sardelli, our courier. For Aunt Tamson" is handwritten in old period ink script. Photo type: 1860's Victorian CDV Carte de visite Photo. Photographer: Clement Lagriffe, 203, Rue St Honore, Pres St Roch, Paris, France.
Found in the state of Massachusetts in the USA. This is a sweet French CDV image of a young boy about 6 years old sitting on a pedestal. His good and trusted friend, the family courier, Mr. Richard Sardelli, stands next to him. It is assumed this photo was sent to America to a family member to see their life in Paris. It may be possible to track Mr. Sardelli in French or possibly Italy, Italian census records. A beautiful and playful image with young Harry in high button shoes and short pants. It was found near Boston, Massachusetts. A beautiful old image.
Size: 2.5 by 4 inches
Note: Hello from ~debra. I have spent years collecting over 10,000 ID’d lost family photos & paper from US flea markets & antique shops. I do the best gen research I can, but am always open to corrections. This is an original antique item, not a reprint. A new high quality rigid sleeve is included for extra protection, especially during shipping. You may buy a piece alone, or large intimate 300 dpi scans of the front and back sent immediately via email, or both. Please search carefully, as they are often found together and many may be related. I also invite you to join me at Ancestorville Genealogy on facebook. Thank you, enjoy! ~Debra Clifford (contact info on top bar)
