This is a beautiful image of a young soldier, who looks to be about 18-22 years old. He wears a union uniform with running trim on pant leg, and a thick black wool army coat.

We also found the surname spelled as Ramsdale, Rimsdell and Rimsdill in census records. In the case of Ziba Ramsdell above, he is later listed as Ziba Ramsdale in census records. A beautiful and stunning Saratoga related Civil War portrait. It was found in New York State, in nearby Oneida County NY. We believe him to be one of the 4 soldiers above. A stunning young soldier image.
