1860's Parker Hegan Civil War CDV Photo, Canada to Somerville, Mass

On reverse: "Parker Hegan" is handwritten in pencil and then written again in old dip pen ink again is "Mr. Hegan." There is other illegible pencil script very light hand writing on front and back. There is a photographer's rubber stamp: "Proof to be returned, July 1864" Photo type: Original Vintage Victorian CDV Carte de Visite Photograph, Civil War era 1860's. Photographer: J.W. Black, 163 and 173 Washington St. Boston and another gallery at So. Truro St. opposite the Naval Academy, in Newport, Rhode Island, Suffolk, Middlesex, Newport County. (known to be photographer James W. Black, James Black, James Wallace Black)

He is also seen listed as Parker Hagan in various census records. A wonderful 1860's Civil War era image of Parker holding his summer straw hat. His occupation listed as a tinsmith, and also as a "Railroad Tinsmith" in census records. It was found in Berkshire County, Massachusetts, a beautiful old original signed Hegan family piece.
