Noah Ridgeway Zelley (1854-1925) When Noah Zelley was born on October 19, 1854, in Burlington, New Jersey, his father, Noah, was 35 and his mother, Mary, was 32. He was married by his Uncle Rev. Henry Ridgeway Zelley to Ellen Elizabeth Trafford on January 3, 1888 in Hammonton, New Jersey. She was born in 1861 in Hammonton, Atlantic County, New Jersey to Thomas Trafford 1822–1894 and Hannah Jones 1822–1909. They had four children in 13 years. He died on March 24, 1925 in Paulsboro, Gloucester County, New Jersey at the age of 70, and was buried in Hammonton, New Jersey.

His son Henry J. Zelley was born 15 March 1859 in Mt. Holly, New Jersey, the son of Noah Ridgeway Zelley and his wife Mary Jane (Sever) Zelley, both of New Jersey. Henry's paternal grandparents were, Aaron L. Zelley (Aaron Zelley) and his wife Ann Nancy Ridgeway Zelley. Henry's maternal grandparents were, Joseph John Sever and his wife Elizabeth Sharp Sever. Rev. Henry J. Zelley married Ida Shreve and had 2 children Clara M. and Edward Shreve Zelley.
The Zelley family were Quakers and Noah Zelley and his wife Ann Zelley can be found in U.S., Quaker Meeting Records 1681-1935 for Mount Holly NJ. Ridgeway can also be found spelled as Ridgway in census records. A wonderful signed New Jersey Zelley family piece.
