This family photo is slightly trimmed on corner edges, usually to fit into tight paper photo albums, as most were. Does not affect the actual image in any way.

This is a wonderful signed Civil War CDV of the important Standish surname in history. The image is of a handsome Miles Standish about 20 years old taken during the war, wearing Infantry Captain officer shoulder straps or boards. It is signed "Captain Miles Standish." Found in Rockport, Knox County, Maine, a beautiful and rare piece.
