When Willard Cutler Lawrence was born on December 23, 1888, in Vermont, his father, Willard Loren Lawrence, was 44 and his mother, Mary E. Cutler Lawrence, was 36. He married Mary Leland (Mary A. Leland) on December 31, 1914. They had two children during their marriage, Mary Elizabeth Lawrence, born 1917 and Leland Lawrence, born 1924. He died in November 1978 in Springfield, Vermont, at the age of 89, where they lived all their lives.
