The surnames Judson and White are prevalent in the history of Danbury Connecticut. The White brothers owned a hat manufacturing business started in 1816 that employed 50 people. This is a beautiful White family Civil War era CDV photo, with Judson in an amazing 1860's handmade checkered suit. Great Victorian fashion. A wonderful piece presumably also photographed by a White family member. They also have some Newburgh NY ties.
