Printed on Victorian Wedding Calling Card: "Mr. & Mrs. Jesse Angell, Lavina A. Daggett." These Victorian era cards were used to "call" and announce your Victorian "calling" at homes of friends, acquaintances, family members and business contacts. Generally the home had a tray or "Charger," which was a large vessel, often silver, to hold the beautiful cards.

His Father: Samuel Angell 1787–1870 son of Jesse Angell 1744–1830 and Amey Hammond Angell 1745–1834. Lavina A. Hopkins Daggett 1818-1875, they married February 22, 1856, when he was age 33 and Lavina was 34. She was born in New York. She died on November 30, 1875 at the age of 57.

1. Jeremiah Angell born 1858, married Florentine Amanda Hunt Angell in 1882. Her father was Abner Hunt (Abner Constant Hunt and her mother was Mary Jane Booker Hunt. Their child was: Alvin L. Angell (Alvin Angell) born 1886 in Rhode Island.

This is a beautiful, rare and unusual Angell family wedding card piece. It was found in Portland, Maine, Cumberland County, Maine. It is unusual to have a wife's maiden name printed on a a calling card. The card is very high quality Victorian card, printed on a glossy coated cardstock. This is Jesse & Lavina's 1856 wedding era card. A one of a kind piece.
