From 1901 Mansur Family Book: A Partial Record of the Mansur Family by John Hoffman Mansur 1901, 59 pages: "William Mansur, son of Daniel, born 18 Dec, 1821, at Dracut; died there 26 Feb., 1879; married 30 Dec, 1845, Jerusha Frances Hickok, of Middlebury, Vt. Their Children: Mary Francis Mansur, born 8 Dec, 1846; died 7 April, 1847.
Clara Inez Mansur, born 28 June, 1849; married Joseph Richardson. Myra Agnes Mansur, born 7 March, 1851; married Edwin Richardson. Note: William Mansur, born at Dracut, Mass., was a machinist, and followed the trade for many years. In 1862 he bought the old homestead, and cultivated it until his death, which occurred 26 Feb., 1879. He lived a quiet, retired life, and was held in high esteem by all who knew him. His wife, Jerusha Frances Hickok, was born in Shoreham, Vermont, but spent the first eighteen years of her life in Middlebury, Vt. She came to Lowell, Mass, in 1838, and resided there until her marriage in 1845. She then removed to Methuen, Mass, where she lived about seventeen years, or till 1862, when her husband bought the old homestead at Dracut, Mass, where she has since resided. (written in 1901)
A beautiful and wonderfully documented old photo of Jerusha Mansur. It was found in Brimfield, Hampden County, Massachusetts. This is a very important and well documented historical Dracut Massachusetts and New England pioneer family.
Size: 2.5 x 4 inches.
Note: Hello from ~debra. I have spent years collecting over 10,000 ID’d lost family photos & paper from US flea markets & antique shops. I do the best gen research I can, but am always open to corrections. This is an original antique item, not a reprint. A new high quality rigid sleeve is included for extra protection, especially during shipping. You may buy a piece alone, or large intimate 300 dpi scans of the front and back sent immediately via email, or both. Please search carefully, as they are often found together and many may be related. I also invite you to join me at Ancestorville Genealogy on facebook.
