His parents were Ephraim Fletcher Hayden 1825–1897 and Susan E Hayden, born 1822. He was a veteran of the Civil War in Co. H, 6th MA Infantry)

In all of our searches in Massachusetts, the above record consistently came up, although there is 120 miles between Chester & Lowell MA, where this photo was taken. More Burdick genealogy research needs to be done on this family. A wonderful and intimate portrait.
