Crediton is a town and civil parish in County Devon, England. It is about 7 miles north west of Exeter, Devon. We only found one George Withridge in our searches for this time period, and believe strongly this is him. Was he staying with Devon Wells family or friends when he had this photo taken?
It is a beautifully clear portrait of a handsome blond man with a very interesting and unusual haircut. He appears to be about 18-25 years old. This photo was found in Exeter. His name, handwritten in ballpoint pen, was most likely written by family members in the mid 20th century.
