Frances E. Waterman & Thomas Waterman were married. She was the daughter of William and Martha Shaw (nee Martha Torrey)l Her husband Thomas, was the son of Hiram Waterman and Rachel Decker Waterman. His brothers were Charles Waterman, George Waterman and Abraham Waterman. Frances was born around 1849-50. She and her husband had an adopted girl named Ora Waterman, born in Pennsylvania. They also have a young girl living with them in census records named Flora Longcoy or Longcore. They lived in the town of Nichols, New York, Tioga County, which is 50 miles south of Ithaca NY, Tompkins County.
