Frances E. Waterman & Thomas Waterman were married. She was the daughter of William and Martha Shaw (nee Martha Torrey)l Her husband Thomas, was the son of Hiram Waterman and Rachel Decker Waterman. His brothers were Charles Waterman, George Waterman and Abraham Waterman.
Frances was born around 1849-50. She and her husband had an adopted child named Ora Waterman, who was born in Pennsylvania. They also had a young girl living with them in census records named Flora Longcoy or Longcore. They lived in the town of Nichols, Tioga County, New York, which is about 50 miles south of Ithaca in Tompkins County NY.
