This photo was found in Rochester, Monroe County New York, the area where her mother Nancy died. Fannie or Fanny is nickname for Frances or Francis, and she is seen listed as both. Her mother is listed as both Nancy Beebe and Margaret or Marget Beebe in census records, we believe this to be the same person.
This is a wonderful tintype with a clear image of Fannie with her own handwritten signature on a decorative paper mat. The back has a piece of old newspaper clipping glued down as a backing, which is to hold her photo in place. The newspaper has text advertising the famous Boston Athenaeum, and photos of the White mountains with "color gems" of photographs. A rare one of a kind piece. We rarely find identified tintypes.
Size: 2.5 x 4 inches Note: The original is sold, but you may still purchase large, detailed and intimate 300 dpi high resolution scans of front and back, sent immediately via email.
