A German surname, Tressler is also seen as Dressler in census records, especially in earlier 1700's records. This photo was found in Virginia Beach, Virginia in the Hampton Roads area. It is a beautiful 1860's Civil War era photo of Emma, shown wearing a handmade belted, button down dress with trim, and a full skirt. She holds gloves or a hankie in her right hand. She has a bow attached to her collar and is wearing earrings. Emma is a beautiful young woman and this is a wonderful original Victorian CDV photo, rare and well identified.
