1870's Edward Aaronson Ivins Jr Tintype Photo, Philadelphia & Bucks PA

On reverse: "Ed Ivins" is handwritten in pencil, date written unknown although thought to be in the early 20th century. Photo type: Original Antique Victorian Tintype Photograph, circa 1860's, Civil War era. Photographer: Trask, 159 North Eighth St, Below Race., Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. County: Delaware, Montgomery, Philadelphia or Schuylkill County. The photographer' advertising backmark is a wonderful old glued piece of paper printed "Trask Photography" and has the byline "Taken as well in cloudy as in fair weather" printed on it. (known to be photographer Albion Keith Parris Trask 1831-1900 or Albion K.P. Trask)

This photo was found in Palmer, Hampden County, Massachusetts, thus he may have some New England ties. This is a wonderful photographic history tintype, beautifully clear. Edward appears about 10-15 years of age in the photograph, dating it to the early 1870's. A rare and wonderful piece from a Pennsylvania Quaker family.
