1860's Daniel Enterline CDV Photo, Blacksmith, Lancaster County PA

Photographer: R.J.M. Little, No. 103 Locust St., Columbia, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. (known to be Rolandus Little, also known as Rolandus JM Little 1836-1890, a Civil War veteran and photographer in the Lancaster, Pennsylvania area. He is buried in Mount Bethel Cemetery in Columbia, Lancaster County PA)

Found in Public Genealogy Records:
Daniel Hiram Enterline (1829-1870) born in Dauphin, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania, listed occupation as a Blacksmith in census records. His Father: George Enterline 1799-1878 his parents were Johann Michael Enderlein 1762-1825 and Maria Elisabeth Schnug Enderlein 1766-1809, also listed occupation as a Blacksmith. He is seen as George Endterlein in the 1850 census. His Mother: Christiana Boyer Enterline 1811-1882 born in Lancaster County PA in 1811 in the 1850 census. She is also seen as Christiann Enderline and Christina Enterline in census.

Note: We found evidence of a large Boyer family living directly next door to Daniel's family in Mount Joy PA in the 1850 US census, when Daniel was age 21. They are David Boyer (age 40, a farmer) & Elizabeth Boyer (age 39) and their 10 children. We are assuming they may be related to Daniel Enterline's mother Christina. Christina, age 69, is listed as a widow and a nurse in the 1880 census. She is living with her daughter Elizabeth and son-in-law John Hoffer. We cannot find her or her Boyer parents or family in census records.

This is a beautiful photo of Daniel, a blacksmith by trade in this Pennsylvania Dutch area of PA. He would have died in 1870, soon after this photo was taken. This Swiss, Switzerland or German, Germany Enterline surname is also spelled Endterlein and Enderline. He is also seen as David Enterline incorrectly in census. The photo was found in Catskill, Green County, New York.
