1880's Unusual Victorian Calling Card of Cora A. Merrill #531:
-Found in Augusta, Maine, Kennebec County.
-Will be sent in new clean archival rigid sleeve for your collection.
-Merrill Surname, Merrill Genealogy
-19th c Original Victorian Calling Card with printed Merrill Ancestor Surname
Printed on front: "Cora A. Merrill" in beautiful script, see photos. This is a very unusual calling card in that it is die cut to the shape of an old Victorian shoe or slipper. It is embossed paper with raised intricate Victorian detail work. We have never seen a calling card like this. This was found in a large lot of 19th c. material in Augusta, Maine, Kennebec County.
This card will be sent in a new clean archival rigid sleeve for your collection. This was a personal calling card of an early Merrill Family member, and is one of a kind. We feel that Cora would have been born before and up to approx 1860 to use this card. A beautiful piece.
Size: 4.25 x 1.25 inches
Note: Hello from ~debra. I have spent years collecting over 10,000 ID’d lost family photos & paper from US flea markets & antique shops. I do the best gen research I can, but am always open to corrections. This is an original antique item, not a reprint. A new high quality rigid sleeve is included for extra protection, especially during shipping. You may buy a piece alone, or large intimate 300 dpi scans of the front and back sent immediately via email, or both. Please search carefully, as they are often found together and many may be related. I also invite you to join me at Ancestorville Genealogy on facebook. Thank you, enjoy! ~Debra Clifford (contact info on top bar)
