This is a wonderful photo and a beautiful 1860's close up and intimate portrait of Clinton.  He would have been born about 1850-65, and appears about 16 years old. We could not find him in any Chenengo County census records. We found this surname spelled in many alternative ways in census: Shepperson, Sheparson, Sheperdson, Shepherdson.
