This photo is of a young Victorian gentleman with lightly hand tinted cheeks. It is is slightly trimmed on edges to fit into a 19th c. photo album. He appears to be in his early twenties. This family photo is slightly trimmed on bottom edge, usually to fit into the tight paper Victorian photo albums, as they were. It does not affect his actual image in any way.

A beautiful old identified CDV photo of a well known Pennsylvania and New Jersey family with deep Civil War roots. Heisly is an alternative spelling of this surname. A handsome and stylish Victorian man. Was Charles Heisley Jr. a young Civil War drummer boy in the 28th PA with his father? He would have been 12 years old during his 1861-1862 service.
