Found in Public Genealogy Records: James Henry Brown, born 27 May 1861 in Quebec, FCanada and died 1 Dec 1925 in Newburyport, Essex County, Massachusetts. He appears to arrive in America and the Newburyport area about the time this photo was taken, and lives in the Newburyport, Gloucester area until his death. A beautiful close up portrait of a young James H. Brown who appears about 16 years of age, born about circa 1855. James wears long sideburns, a rage from General Burnside in the Civil War. He has a round gold medal at his neck, pinned on his silk tie and wool clothing. This may be a school, college or seminary photo. It was found in Brimfield, Hampden County, Massachusetts.
