Found in Ulster County, New York. A close up portrait of this young Wright family couple. We found B.C. Wright as an active San Fran citizen, as well as his wife, Almeda Wright. In 1892 he was listed as editor of the Daily Evening Bulletin in the city. His wife, listed as Mrs. BC Wright, was secretary of the Women's Baptist Foreign Missionary Society.
In 1910, Benjamin Cooper Wright wrote a book called 'Banking in California 1849-1910.' Benjamin C. Wright, an editor, was born in 1834-35 and lived early years in Utica, New York, Oneida county. Almeda Darling Wright, his wife, was born in 1845 in Spafford, Onondaga County, New York to Joseph and Polly Darling.
Benjamin's mother, born in Vermont in 1809 lives with them in 1880, Elizabeth A. Wright, age 71. His father Oliver R. Wright was born in Massachusetts. Benjamin was in San Francisco, CA in 1870 living in the home of William & Mary Stevens, his occupation was newspaper reporter. He becomes an editor eventually, as above and is listed as a retired journalist in 1920 census. In 1880 they live in San Francisco and their children were Allen Garwood Wright age 6, who became an attorney / lawyer, and William S. Wright age 5. This photo is of a very well dressed and handsome young couple who stayed together and lived long into the 20th century, a great historical California piece!
A wonderful Wright family piece. It is very possibly their wedding photo.

Note: Hello from ~debra. I have spent years collecting over 10,000 ID’d lost family photos & paper from US flea markets & antique shops. I do the best gen research I can, but am always open to corrections. This is an original antique item, not a reprint. A new high quality rigid sleeve is included for extra protection, especially during shipping. You may buy a piece alone, or large intimate 300 dpi scans of the front and back sent immediately via email, or both. Please search carefully, as they are often found together and many may be related. I also invite you to join me at Ancestorville Genealogy on facebook. Thank you, enjoy! ~Debra Clifford (contact info on top bar)
