This is a wonderful Wisdom family photo, Amelia looks to be about 14 years old and this is an unusual full body portrait. There is a beautiful hand painted Victorian backdrop behind her. The photo was found in Hampshire County, Massachusetts, where she may also have New England family ties.

We have been unable to find Amelia in Nebraska census records, was she passing through? or was a traveling photographer passing through? This was a common practice in the Midwest. she may be from South Dakota or Iowa.

Amelia appears about 15-18 years old, born roughly about 1875-1885 in this photo. Please email Debra for any corrections or info here,
