Found in Public Genealogy Records: 
Marietta VanZandt Tuthill 1859–1900 born and died in New York State to a Dutch Reformed family. Her father was Benjamin B VanZandt 1829–1879, son of Barent Visscher VanZandt 1804–1877 and Mary Hotaling Van Zandt 1807–1856. Her father Benjamin's line is a long NYS Van Zandt line, his grandfather was Benjamin VanZandt 1767–1838, his GGrandfather was Gysbert VanZandt 1734–1824, GGGF was Johannes Joseph VanZandt Sr 1690–1763 and his GGGGF was Joseph Janse VanZandt 1665–1753.

Her mother was Mary Jane Martin Van Zandt 1832–1894. Her father was William Martin 1806–1902, whose parents were Peter Martin 1781–1852 and Christiana Allen Martin 1778–1839 and garndparents were Johannes Martin 1749–1816 and Maria Frolich Martin 1743–1826, all of New Scotland, Albany, New York, of the Dutch reformed Church. Her mother was Mary Ann Moak Martin 1809–1890, daughter of William Moak 1775–1867 and Mary Anna Taylor Moak 1782–1815. This family descends from early NYS settler Jacob H Moak 1720–1795 of Bachenbulach, Zurich, Switzerland.

Her siblings were William Barent VanZandt 1857–1923 (who married
Ella Elizabeth Gentry 1863–1942) and Louisa F VanZandt 1861–1939.

Her husband was John H Tuthill, of which we could find no information. Ettie is buried at the Mount Pleasant Cemetery in New Salem, Albany County, New York with her other Van Zandt family members. Sadly, she died at age 40.

A beautiful old photo of Ettie at age 20, with much wonderful genealogy to ponder. It was found in Kingston, Ulster County, New York. This family photo is slightly trimmed on bottom edge, usually to fit into the tight Victorian paper photo album sleeves. It does not affect her actual image in any way.
