(known to be photographer Theordore Daniel Wolbach, Theodore Wolbach or Theodore D. Wolbach, a Civil War veteran from 1861-1864. He was a Captain then Corporal in Co. E, 16th OVI or Ohio Volunteer Infantry)

We believe this photo to be of Edwin Bechtel Yoder 1859–1915, born in Wadsworth, Medina, Ohio, and buried at Ferguson Cemetery in Norman, Montgomery County, Arkansas. His wife was Nancy C. Barrett Yoder Metting 1863–1935 of Wadsworth, Ohio, the daughter of William B Barrett 1824–1901 and Elizabeth Smith Barrett 1839–1910. Their son was Arthur Bechtel Yoder, born 1884 in Warren Township, Trumbull, Ohio. After Edwin died in 1915 in Arkansas, Nancy married Henry W Metting 1858–1947.

A beautifully clear CDV portrait photo of young Ed Yoder at about age 16, in the mid 1870's. Note: Edwin is seen as Ed, Edward and Edwin Yoder in census records, not uncommon. This photo was found in Rochester, Monroe County, New York. He died at age 55.
