1870's Charles Morrison CDV Photo, Lowell, Middlesex County, MA
#1033 Morrison Genealogy Boston
On reverse: "Younger Picture of Uncle Charlie Morrison" is handwritten in ball point pen . Photo type: CDV Carte de Visite Photograph, Victorian. Photographer: N.C. Sanborn, 50 Merrimack Street Lowell, Middlesex County MA. (known to be photographer N.C. Sanborn, Nathaniel C. Sanborn or Nathaniel Collins Sanborn 1832-1886 born in New Hampshire, died in Lowell, Mass)
A beautiful photo. At first glance Charlie appears older than we believe he is, with long grey beard and grey hair, but his face appears young, and we believe him to be about age 48-58 years in this 1870's photo. That would make him born about circa 1825-1840. The inscription that this is a "younger" picture of him, makes us think he lived a long life, possibly into his eighties or more. Do you know a Charles Morrison in the Boston / Lowell area that fits this bill? A lovely close up and clear portrait of a New England Morrison family member. Found in Brimfield, Hampden County, Massachusetts.
Size: 2.5 x 4 inches
Note: Hello from ~debra. I have spent years collecting over 10,000 ID’d lost family photos & paper from US flea markets & antique shops. I do the best gen research I can, but am always open to corrections. This is an original antique item, not a reprint. A new high quality rigid sleeve is included for extra protection, especially during shipping. You may buy a piece alone, or large intimate 300 dpi scans of the front and back sent immediately via email, or both. Please search carefully, as they are often found together and many may be related. I also invite you to join me at Ancestorville Genealogy on facebook. Thank you, enjoy! ~Debra Clifford (contact info on top bar)
