His name may be Francis Sturges or Franklin Sturges in US census records. A beautiful old 19th c. Civil War era portrait. He appears about 13-16 years old, born about 1850, This may Sturges family from Rhode Island. A number of early Sturges RI families ended up in that part of Massachusetts in the late 1700s and early 1800s.
He may be from Vermont, New Hampshire, New York State, and new England in general, all in close proximity to where found. A beautiful early image of a young Sturges family boy.
