The advertising backmark on this CDV has a wonderful printed image of a steam engine train. William looks to be about 2-3 years old.

This photo of William would have been taken about 1866, his first year. Sadly, William's son Major General Keith Lincoln Ware was killed at age 53 in Vietnam in 1968, about 100 years from the birth of his father. A beautiful image and a wonderful and unusual train backmark. Found in Seneca Falls, Seneca County, New York.
