1860's Thomas Glenn CDV, Glens Falls, Warren County NY, POW Civil War

Orr Jr., Ridge Street, Glen's Falls, New York, Warren County NY.  (known to be photographer Alex Orr Jr. 1837-1907, born in America, the son of Alexander Orr Sr. 1813–1893 who was born in Scotland and died in Schenectady County New York)

Found in Public Genealogy Records: Civil war veteran and POW prisoner of War:
Thomas J. Glenn 1838–1916, born in New York and died 24 Feb 1916 Glens Falls, New York. He married Sarah Glenn 1851 who died before 1900.
Their children were:
1. May E. Glenn born 1867.
2. William H Glenn born 1871 who in 1891 lives with his father, his occupation is a papermaker (paper mills). He married Hattie May Glenn born 1871 and had 2 kids: Henry Wells Glenn born 1891 and Warren Edward Glenn 1893–1921. We can see she later married Orlin E Laraway 1862–1936 and they had 2 children: Erma A Laraway born 1903 and Lester O Laraway 1904–1984. We do not know when William died.
3. John Glenn born 1876.
4. Arthur W. Glenn born 1878.
5. We believe a daughter Harriet Glenn was born about 1884.

In the 1900 census he is listed as a widower and a hotel keeper who lives in Kingsbury, Washington County, New York. This area is a part of Glens Falls.

In 1915 Census, Thomas lives with Harriet Fish and her husband Theodore Fish in Glens falls, and is listed as "father in Law" to the head of house, Theodore Fish. She would have been born in 1884.

Found in Hampden County, Massachusetts. A close up and very clear portrait of Thomas Glenn, who appears to be about 25 years old. Interestingly, there is an apostrophe, as in "Glen's Falls" on the photographer's advertising backmark. It is now known simply as Glens falls. A beautiful Civil War piece.
