Her Husband: Hurlbert Luther 1809–1879 was born in Cheshire, Berkshire, Massachusetts, and died in Ashland, Ashland County, Ohio. His parents were Eber Luther 1766–1838 and Cassandra Wheeler Luther 1767–1825.

1. Helen Janette Luther Holland, born 1838, she married John Holland, and their daughter was Mary C. Holland.
2. Joel Hulbert Luther 1840–1919
3. Charles Mortimer Luther 1842–1843
4. Emily Luther Burns born 1844 married Andrew J. Burns, and their son was Charles Luther Burns, born 1872.

The beautiful Civil War era image is very crisp and clear, with her wearing a stunning classic American Victorian era outfit with black lace gloves. Lydia would be about 50 years of age when this photo was taken. It was found in Florence, Florence County, South Carolina.
