There is an 8 yr old Jennie Stone in Portsmouth Ward, Scioto County, Ohio in the 1870 census. She is the daughter of Phineas Stone and Sarah Evans Stone. Her parents were born in Wednesbury, Staffordshire, England UK. Her siblings are Anna Stone 10, Edward Stone 6, Mary Stone 3, Lydia Stone 3 years.

Her sister Mary married a Patch, Mary Patch. Her grandmother was also named Lydia Stone, as well as her baby sister. Other names in her tree are Patch, Crocker, Ferrall and Johnson.
