His father: Ezekiel Folsom born 1775 in NH and died in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. he was the son of David Folsom 1730–1791 and Sarah Gilman Folsom 1734–1832. His father's Siblings were Anna Folsom 1751–1822, Hannah Folsom 1753–1822, Thomas Folsom 1754–1840, Abigail Nabby Folsom born 1758, David Folsom 1761–1830, Winthrop Folsom 1763–1830, James Folsom 1767–1845, Sarah Folsom born 1774, and his father Ezekiel Folsom born 1775, Gilman Folsom 1796–1870, and Ezekiel Folsom 1798–1872.

This is a beautiful near mint signed Civil War era CDV photograph of Gilman Folsom at about 60 years. The portrait is stunningly close up and clear, a rare Folsom family find. It was found in Ooltewah, Hamilton County, Tennessee. This is an important DAR, Daughters of the American Revolution and SAR Sons of the American Revolutionary War family.
