Emma appears about 14-15 years old in this mid 1860's Civil War era CDV photo, born in 1849. She holds a CDV photo album in her hand, and wears a beautiful short coat. She may be wearing mourning clothing. This is a beautiful Civil war era image. Her younger brother, Jay M. Pratt died at age 7, about the time of this photo. He is buried in Pontiac, Illinois in the South Side Cemetery. This photo was found in Great Barrington, Berkshire County, Massachusetts. She may also have some New England family ties.
