These are 3 beautiful photographs of this Bolles family, taken in different locations: A younger Dr. Bolles in Norwich, Connecticut, his wife and daughter in Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts and a photo of an older Dr. Bolles in Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, Ohio.

The 3 were found together near Rochester, Monroe County NY, and not far from Batavia, Genesee County NY, where they once lived.

The photographers of these 3 CDV photos are: L. Thompson of Norwich CT (known to be photographer Lucius Thompson), J.F. Ryder of Cleveland OH (known to be photographer James Fitzallen Ryder 1826-1904) and J.W. Black of Boston MA (known to be photographer James Wallace Black, James W. Black, or James Black)

Found in Public Genealogy Records:
Reverend James Aaron Bolles, D.D. (Doctor of Divinity) settled in the Cleveland, Ohio area. He married Martha E. Evans Bolles in 1850 in Batavia, Genesee County, New York, when she was 33 years old. She was born in 1817 in Maryland to Ann Waters Evans and Joseph E. Evans. She had one brother and three sisters.

They had one child during their marriage, Mary Frances Bolles, born 1852. Reverend Bolles died in Cleveland, Ohio. Rev. James Aaron Bolles, D.D., was the Senior Canon of Trinity Cathedral, and Rector Emeritus of Trinity Parish in Cleveland, Ohio
