When Catharine (or Katherine) Amos was born in March 1856 in New York to Jacob Amos, Mary or Marie Amos. She married Henry C. Peters in 1877. They had one child during their marriage, Mary Peters Boland. She had two brothers and two sisters.
Her husband Henry Conrad Peters was born in 1851 in Skaneateles, Onondaga County, New York. His parents were Nicholas Peters 1824-1903 and Gertrude Falk Peters 1828-1899. They were both German, listed as born in Prussia in census records. He married Catharine Amos (aka Katherine Amos) in 1877. She was born in 1856. They had one child during their marriage named Mary L Peters, who was born in 1878. He died in 1920.
Syracuse Journal Monday, July 12, 1920, Page 8: FUNERAL SERVICES FOR HENRY C. PETERS: "The funeral of Henry C. Peters, last member of N. Peters, brother and son, who died Sunday at Skaneateles, was held Wednesday afternoon from the home of his brother, Jacob Peters, 1400 Park street. The Rev. Dr. Jeremiah Zimmerman officiated. The bearers were W.H. Peters, Harry F. Peters, Arthur J. Peters, C.L. Amos, J.C. Norton and J.P. Miller, all nephews of Mr. Peters. Honorary bearers were G.A. Mans, George G. Freyer, R.E. Wight, C. R.W Christensen, A.P. Koch and J.J. Moses. Burial was in Woodlawn cemetery."
