#877 Marconini Genealogy:
On reverse: "Grandmother Marconini's Sister" is handwritten in pencil. Other name written in in old dip pen ink at top, (in Norwegian) “Tante Matilde” which means “Aunt Matilde”, “født 1831” which means “born 1831”. Photo Type: Original Antique Victorian CDV Carte de Visite Photograph, circa 1870's. Photographer: H. Nielsen. (known to be photographer Harald Nielsen 1831-1881, a Norwegian actor and photographer and the husband of actress Fredrikke Nielsen)
There are many Marconini researchers found in web searches. Research seems to center around Frederick Marconini and his brother Jacob Marconini. The Marconini brothers were born in Italy and emigrated to Norway. Jacob Marconini 1763-1840 married Gunhild Marie Corneliusdatter. They and had 8 children. He died in Larvik, Vestfold, Norway.
There becomes an American connection after this fact, but it is unknown here. American Marconini descendants are found in Hawaii, Ohio, Connecticut, New York and San Francisco, California. Any help or correction here is appreciated, email Debra here.
The beautiful Victorian era woman appears about 20-30 years of age here. The photo is somewhat light in tone, but still a beautiful image. Scans are enhanced and sharpened to clarity. It was found in Deerfield, Franklin County, Massachusetts, and we therefore assume she may have some New England ties.
Size: 2.5 x 4 inches Note: Hello from ~debra. I have spent years collecting over 10,000 ID’d lost family photos & paper from US flea markets & antique shops. I do the best gen research I can, but am always open to corrections. This is an original antique item, not a reprint. A new high quality rigid sleeve is included for extra protection, especially during shipping. You may buy a piece alone, or large intimate 300 dpi scans of the front and back sent immediately via email, or both. Please search carefully, as they are often found together and many may be related. I also invite you to join me at Ancestorville Genealogy on facebook. Thank you, enjoy! ~Debra Clifford (contact info on top bar)
