1860's Ida Templeton Sparrow Tintype Photo, Montpelier, Washington, VT

#834 Templeton & Sparrow Genealogy:

On reverse: "Ida Templeton, East Montpelier, VT' is beautifully handwritten in fine old fancy pencil script on the paper mat. There are also the handwritten initials in old pencil of "C.M. Tem." We assume this to be the initials of her older sister Coralin May Templeton 1846–1872. Photo type: Gem Tintype Photograph in embossed decorative paper frame, Civil War era 1860's. Ida I Templeton Sparrow 1852–1947, born & died in East Montpelier, Washington County, Vermont. She died at the age of 95.
Her father: Hiram Lee Templeton 1817–1910, the son of John Templeton, Jr. 1784–1855 and Lorana White Templeton 1784–1879.

Her mother: Mary Ayers Vincent Templeton 1824–1913. Her parents are both buried in the Cutler Cemetery, East Montpelier, Washington County, Vermont.

Her husband: Hiram Lee Sparrow 1852–1936 born in Elmore, Lamoille County, Vermont, and died in East Montpelier, Washington County, Vermont. They married in 1875, and child was Mary Almira Sparrow 1883–1895, died age 12.

Ida appears to be about 8-12 years old in this sweet little photo, taken mid 1860's. This tiny photo was found in Dearborn, Wayne County, Michigan. A beautiful Sparrow family photo.
