Collett, Chippewa Falls, Chippewa County WI. (known to be photographer Joseph Euclid Collett 1861-1945, also seen as J.E. Collette and also as Joseph Edward Collette. He was born in Quebec to Ambrose Collette 1823-1907 and Heloise Poitras Collette 1819–1907. He arrived in Chippewa Falls around 1880, and is known to have also worked in partnership with Photographer Charles B. Hall there from 1885-1888 and also on his own. He later moved to Rural, Cascade County Montana, where he died in 1945)

Florence C. Young 1859-1932, died age 73. Her father was Samuel Perkins Dickinson 1828–1879 born in New York and died in Lafayette, Chippewa County, Wisconsin. He was the son of Elijah Dickinson 1803–1890, born in New York and died in East Troy, Walworth County, Wisconsin and Sophia Perkins Dickinson 1804–1876, born in Belchertown, Massachusetts and died in Johnstown, Rock County, Wisconsin.

Her mother was Lucy Ann Stacy Dickinson 1830–1900 (also seen as Stacey), born in New Haven, Oswego, New York and died in Chippewa Falls. She was the daughter of Charles Stacy 1804–1874 and Ulyssa Booth Stacey 1805–1870. Her mother first married Hubbard Dickinson 1805–1880, also born in New York and died in Greenfield, Monroe County, Wisconsin.

A beautiful Victorian image if Florence, who wears plaited hair, Victorian gold jewelry, a lace collar and fine clothing. As we see above, Florence married Joseph B. Young in 1882, born 1855 in Ireland. Yet, we see a 1905 census record where she is living alone with the children, listed as the head of the house and "widowed". Yet, in the 1910 census, she is again living with Joseph B. Young. Any help or correction appreciated, email Debra here.
