A very handsome Civil War era couple, him in checkered pants, handmade boots, a bow tie and suit coat, and her in a handmade beautiful crinoline dress, her hand on his. This CDV exemplifies beautiful Victorian fashion.

William C. Cortright was born in June 1845 in Tioga County, New York. His parents were Levi Cortright and Harriet Mead Cortright. He married Anna M. in 1865. They had one child, Clyde M. Cortright during their marriage. He had five brothers and four sisters, 9 total siblings. This is a beautiful photo of a Cortright family Civil War veteran, this could easily be their wedding photo, they married at the end of the Civil War. We found this surname spelled Cartright, Courtright, Courtwright, Cortwright, and Cortright. A wonderful old ancestor photo.
