Printed on front of this Victorian Calling Card: "Nettie G. Traver" Thisis from the 1880's, and is blank on the reverse. These Victorian era cards were used to "call" and announce your "calling." The Cookingham family is very evident in the cemeteries of Dutchess County area of New York State, Hudson Valley. Rhinebeck has many Cookinghams in its graveyards.

This card was found in the areas of Ulster County, NY. Nettie is a nickname here for Annette. It has a beautiful round litho scene of a castle, snow and moonlight. This is Nettie's own personal calling card and Rhinebeck was a wonderful happening high Victorian town in the 19th century.
