1870's Jhaleel Baker Sherman CDV Photo, Lincoln, Middlesex County Mass

Goss, Main Street, Waltham, Middlesex County, Massachusetts. (known to be photographer Ezra Lovett Goss 1841-1920, Ezra Lovett Goss was born in Salem, Mass to Richard Girdler Goss and Joanna Thorndike Lovett Goss. He was a veteran of Co. E, Wisconsin 23rd Infantry and discharged for disability. He married Alice Ann Hammond Goss 1842–1906 in 1868 in Salem. They had five children. He died at age 78 and is buried in the Pepperell Cemetery, Middlesex County, Mass)

Jahleel Baker Sherman 1819–1906 born and died in Lincoln, Middlesex County, Massachusetts at age 87. His parents were John Sherman 1784–1863 and Lucy Baker Sherman 1788–1868.

John Dexter Sherman 1816–1892 died age 76, married Margaret A Heath Sherman 1827–1920, born in New Hampshire to Margaret & Simon Heath 1792–1876. Their daughter was Carrie A. Sherman 1859–1959, died age 100.
Charles Prescott Sherman 1821–1821, died infant
Charles Prescott Sherman 1822–1828, died age 6
George Sherman born 1827

His wife was his cousin Mary Sherman 1823–1895, married 11 Dec 1842. Her parents were Dr. Luther Sherman 1780–1837 and Rebecca Wheeler Sherman 1783–1859.
Their children were:
Ann P Sherman 1845–1872
Emma Elizabeth Sherman 1845–1925 married John Noyes Morse 1844–1935 and had 2 children, Sadie May Morse 1873–1969 and Rose Persis Morse 1875–1919.
Amos Prescott Sherman 1847–1882 married Julia Carelton Farrar 1850–1929 and had 2 children: Annie P. Sherman 1874–1963 and Carlton F. Sherman born 1877.

This photo is light in tone, but still a beautiful image. Scans are enhanced and sharpened to clarity. This is an important DAR, Daughters of the American Revolution and SAR Sons of the American Revolutionary War family. A wonderful photo of an elder Jahleel, whose name is also seen spelled as Jaleel, Jahleel, Jalheel, Jaheel and Jaehleel. The Sherman family owned substantial farm land in Middlesex County, Mass. A beautiful piece.
