There is a Worden Kellogg in the 1850 census living in Franklin, Delaware County, NY, age 20, single, with parents Samuel Kellogg and Martha Topping Kellogg, the daughter of Charles Topping of Long Island. His father Samuel Kellog is listed as a farmer, age 69, born in 1781 in Austerlitz, Columbia County NY. They live next door to Marvin Kellogg, age 32, a farmer and assumed relative. Worden's occupation was a carpenter according to Civil War Draft registration records.
It appears that Hariett Newell Kellogg married her cousin Elizas Worden Kellogg in 1851. They were childless. Hariett Kellogg is listed in the 1880 census as age 55, a widow in Franklin, Delaware County NY.

There is an EW Kellogg listed on the 1860 Census, Franklin, Delaware NY, carpenter, b. 1829 NY, wife Harriett, name corrected from the misspelling as Fellgg. Sadly, it appears that Worden Elias Kellog (or Elias W. Kellogg, Elias Worden Kellogg) was killed in 1866 by falling scaffolding on the job while working in Croton, Westchester County NY.
In this 1860's photo, Worden has a slight moustache, a widow's peak and it is a beautiful old original 1860's Civil War era CDV photo. He died at age 37, and this would have been taken sometime in the 5 years preceding his untimely death. Found in Rhinebeck, Dutchess County NY.
