On reverse: "Frank Hadsell" is handwritten in fine old early period pencil. There is also a series of numbers handwritten in much later ballpoint pen in upper right, dealer inventory numbers? We do not know. Photo type: Victorian Cabinet Card Photograph. Photographer: H.D. Ward, photographic artist, 78 Main Street, No. Adams, Berkshire County, Mass (known to be North Adams photographer Henry Dwight Ward or Henry D. Ward 1833-1921, son of Isaac Ward and Nancy Ward)

Frank Morse Hadsell 1885–1951 born and died in Pittsfield, Berkshire, Massachusetts. The son of George H Hadsell 1852–1918 and Louisa M Bruey Hadsell 1858–1938, the daughter of Jean Claude Constant Bruey 1818–1897 and Jeanne Marie "Mary" Simonin, born 1829 both of Champagney, Haute-Saone, Franche-Comte, France.

His brother was William V Hadsell 1891 who married Margaret M Hadsell born 1889. He married Grace Cole Musgrove Hadsell 1883–1966 and they had 3 children: Howard Francis Hadsell 1917–1945 who married Virginia Adella Burgess Hadsell 1923–2010; Doris Musgrove Hadsell 1918–1992 and Irene Sarah Hadsell Crossley 1921–1985 who married Robert Joseph Crossley 1916–1997.
